CELEBRATION, Florida — Brazilian educator and researcher Dr. Acilina Candeia launched her second book on the evening of the 19th during an event that gathered guests at the Veni Creator Christian University campus and more than one hundred participants connected from different parts of the world. The publication, focused on the use of playful and technological resources in specialized educational services, was presented in a ceremony attended by students, professionals, families, and a live broadcast with simultaneous English translation.

The book “Challenges and Teaching Strategies Using Playful and Technological Resources: Support for the Cognitive Development of Students with Intellectual Disabilities in Specialized Educational Service Classrooms” compiles pedagogical practices applicable to daily school routines and proposes ways to integrate technology and playfulness into the learning process.

In an interview, Dr. Acilina emphasized the book’s commitment to strengthening research and advancing inclusive education.
“This book comes from real experience inside specialized education rooms. It offers tools for those working on the front lines and, at the same time, reinforces the scientific production of our students”, said Dr. Acilina, who also serves as CEO of Veni Creator Christian University. “Inclusive education must be global, and this launch shows we are moving in that direction”.

The ceremony welcomed guests from Miami, Orlando, and other Florida cities. Online, students from Brazil, France, India, England, and Portugal joined the event, underscoring the university’s international reach.

The coordinator of Veni Creator’s Florida unit, Dr. Patrícia Portugal, highlighted the book’s relevance for professionals who work daily with inclusion challenges.
“The participation of students from around the world shows the strength of this academic community. This book offers an important contribution for educators and for atypical mothers seeking strategies to support autistic children and others with specific needs”, she said.

Among the attendees, two Veni Creator students shared how they plan to use the book in their academic work. Marcos Carvalho, from the T12 Master’s cohort, said the publication will be a direct reference in his dissertation on inclusion.
“The book reflects what we experience in practice. It broadens our understanding of how technology can support cognitive development and arrives at a crucial moment for my research”, he noted.

Laura Germano, a student in the T13 Legal Studies cohort, traveled from Miami to attend the launch in person.
“I wanted to be here to see the campus and support a work that represents Brazilian scientific production in an international setting”, she said.

The event marked another step for Veni Creator Christian University in building an academic network that connects countries and fields of study. With her new book, Dr. Acilina reinforces her contribution to the global discussion on inclusive pedagogical practices and the use of technology as a tool for educational transformation.
